You don't need to wait for the Kroc Center to open to participate in our Summer Camp Program! The Salvation Army will be hosting Summer Camps this summer! Most of the activities will be hosted at The Salvation Army Corps located on Market Street, but some of the camps may get a sneak peak at the Kroc Center, participating in activities in various areas of the brand new facility!

June 22-26th: Music Camp

A camp focused on music-making, this camp will cover instrumental music, song writing, and singing. If your child can't help but sing, dance, and play their way through life, this is the camp for them!

July 20-24th: World Saver's Camp

Do you have a budding environmentalist...would you like to? This camp is all about saving the world, one piece of recycled trash at a time. Children will learn all about ways to preserve, reduce, reuse, and recycle!

July 27-31st: Healthy Heroes Camp

Do you want your child to embrace healthy living? Do you wish you knew a little more about how to eat right and stay active, but you're not sure you have the time?  Children will learn how to stay active, eat right, and how to pass those healthy living tips on to others. Be prepared to be educated!

August 3-7th: Super Soaker Camp

Talk about wet and wild activities! If your child likes the water, he or she will love this camp! Activities will range from the traditional water-balloon fight to the untraditional frozen t-shirt relay. If we have occupancy of the Kroc aquatic center, this camp will also include swim lessons!

August 10-14th: Slammin' Sports Camp

Campers will try everything from basketball and lacrosse to disc golf and field hockey. If your child likes sports, he or she will love this camp!

August 17-21: Crocodile Dock

Where fearless children shine God's Light -- "God Sightings" help children see what God is doing all around us! God performed big stuff such as a burning bush, an assault of plagues, and Jesus' resurrection. With "God Sightings" children will keep an eye out for "God in action" in their everyday lives - they'll notice the daily demonstrations of His love that are often overlooked. Children will learn how to spot powerful things in God's creation, how to appreciate the things that God has made, and how to bless others with simple, fun surprises of God's love.

Aug 24-28: Follow the Yellow Brick Road with SKIT Camp

This is a camp where children will put on a production of "The Wizard of Oz" and learn all about the world of theatre and musicals! This camp will be run with help from SKIT, which is "Salem Keizer Inspirational Teen Theatre." Campers will get to perform their work at the grand opening of the Kroc Center September 26th!
