Just starting to exercise? We now have a class that will take you through the process, provide you with support in a group atmosphere, learn about how to start exercising and reaching goals, and start to form your own training routine. You will learn to use all machines correctly, and how to exercize properly and safely.

Family Tae Kwon Do
This Beginning Martial Arts class will teach you basic techniques including strikes, kicks, blocks, forms, take downs, and holds. You will also develop the confidence and ability of practical self-defense. Training will include learning the 5 pillars of Tae Kwon Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and an Indomi-table Spirit. Be ready for paddle drills, circuit training designed around body weight exercises, flexibility training and fun for the whole family! Prices indicated are per family member enrolled.

Fitness Academy, Boot Camp

Get ready to work hard and see results fast! Our Academy class is led by a Certified Personal Trainer who will run participants through drills ranging from sprints to weights to stretching. If you need a fast-paced, high-energy, team environment in order to stay motivated, this may just be the perfect class for you! Note: now scheduled by the month OR on a drop-in basis.

MMA Conditioning
If you want to challenge your body and get in the best shape of your life, then this is the class for you! MMA Conditioning, which is led by a Mixed Martial Artist & Certified Personal Trainer, consists of an hour and a half of intense striking, conditioning and mat work. This class is an excellent way to add excitement and challenge to your workout routine whether you are at a beginning or advanced level of fitness. Boxing Gloves are suggested and are available for purchase at the Welcome Desk.

After returning from an extremely difficult medical mission trip from Haiti in October of 2010, I made a conscious effort to be living in the present and to surround myself with people and things that I love. One of these things is my love for DANCE. It has always been my escape, my way of expression and my spiritual connection. I currently teach a high-energy, hard-hitting Turbo Cardio Hip Hop Workshop and founded the Cardio Hip Hop program at the Kroc. I have collectively taught Hip Hop for 5 years throughout Oregon and Wisconsin, as I was pursing my medical degree. I have performed with Portland Hip Hop dance companies, S.O.U.L. (Sisters on a United Level) and ENVY. I have a Bachelors of Arts in French Literature and Biology from U of O, a Doctorate Degree of Medicine from OHSU, and post-doctorate degree in Family Medicine from University of Wisconsin. I am currently a practicing Board Certified Family Physician.
My personal fitness interests include Hip Hop Dance, Swing, running 1/2 marathons, kickboxing, biking, crabbing, fishing and gardening.
